Personality: Zion is a kind and peaceful dog, choosing not to fight unless he has to. He's unique in the fact that he can speak in bear language. While he is a dog of peace, he understands that some dogs and bears are just bad, and need to be fought. He has no patience for recklessness or foolish actions, though due to how polite he is, he tends to keep his feelings to himself. He can be rather awkward around the rest of his family due to their status as bearhounds and fighters, though he cares deeply about them. He often feels regret for not doing more for his cousin, Sirius, and possibly preventing his death. He cares for the bear, Chibi, like a son.

History: Zion was born in the city, surviving as best he could as a stray until, one day, meeting a human boy named Kenta. Kenta would feed Zion and his mother, the only survivors of their family, as Zion's 8 siblings passed away, and his father, Billy, vanished without a trace. Kenta would be bullied by older and tougher kids, and Zion would protect him as a thanks for the food. One day, Zion's mother passed away, leaving Zion alone. Zion continued to protect Kenta until the boy grew brave enough to fend for himself. Zion left the city then, living on his own. He would befriend bears in Nagano and Niigata, learning to speak their language. This became useful when he was found by Ohu soldiers during the battle against Monsoon. He acted as a translator, soon being recruited by his cousin, Sirius, to create a truce with the bear. As their attempts failed, Zion began to lose his patience with Sirius, yet refused to leave his side. Eventually, they met and rescued a bear cub they called Chibi, and grew to raise him and their own. Eventually, the war ended, and Sirius died, leaving Zion to raise Chibi alone.
