Personality: Chairo is a loyal and obedient dog, having been trained to hunt like the rest of his family before him. He's lost his fearful nature from when he was a puppy, now being more confident and willing to push himself to be the best he can be. Ever since he was deemed "not fit to train" by Gohei, Chairo has always felt the urge to prove himself, to prove that he can be like Gin. Gin's disappearance hadn't effected Chaito too much, mostly due to Gohei taking him away before they had a chance to really bond as brothers. However, Chairo still wonders how Gin is living to this day, if he's even still alive. Since retiring as a hunting dog, Chairo feels that a part of his life is now missing, and he often falls into depression, wishing that he could go back in time and be young again.

History: Chairo was born to Fuji and Riki during a cold, winter's night. Riki had gone with his master, Gohei Takeda, to hunt Akakabuto. When Daisuke came to take his brother, Gin, to meet their father, he remained with his mother, blissfully unaware of what had happened. Time passed, and when Gohei came to take Gin away for training, he he hit Chairo and his white brother, deeming them both to be too weak to be hunting dogs. Chairo remained with his mother, living as a normal pet for a while. One day, Gin came to visit, and Chairo was eager to meet him. Unfortunately, Gin's training had made him a less gentle dog, and Chairo was attacked and scared off along with his other brother. When Gin left with the wild dogs, Chairo and his brother comforted Fuji as best they could. After Chairo reached a year old, he was bought by another hunter who lived in the village. He lived close enough to the Fujiwara house so that he could visit his mother and brother from time to time, but was mostly on his own for a while. As he grew older, he began to form cataracts in his eyes, and his master has since retired him.
