Personality: Hiyayaka is a very aggressive male, not unusual for his species. Whatever territory he claims belongs to him alone, and he will fight any bear or dog who dares to try and move in. He isn't heartless or cruel, however. If an enemy wishes to retreat, he'll let them go. Hiyayaka is also quite smart, knowing that he must remain in hiding to avoid sticking out like a sore thumb due to his fur. He often sticks to water sources, as he knows he can overheat very quickly. He will also avoid fighting for that reason.
History: Hiyayaka spent his early years living free in the arctic tundra. He acted as any other bear would, defending his territory and hunting for food. That all changed one day when he was spotted by humans who admired his size and beauty. They tracked and tranquilizing him, shipping him off to the zoo in North America. Needless to say, the polar bear wasn't too impressed. He lashed out at zookeepers and terrified guests, which caused him to be bounced around from zoo to zoo. After a few years, he was shipped off to a zoo in Japan, one that was willing to make a quick buck for an irritated bear. Hiyayaka was shipped over, and quickly learned that the zoo was not up to par of some of the other zoos he'd been in. The workers slacked off and hardly paid attention to what they were doing, and food was a rarity. Hungry and desperate for freedom, Hiyayaka planned his escape. He waited for one of his rare feedings, and lashed out at the zookeeper, killing him. He rushed off to freedom, breaking out of the zoo and escaping into the wild where he remains to this day, trying to survive.
