Personality: Akatsubaki is a female with terrible self-esteem, ever since her adolescence. She puts on a front of authority and confidence to avoid looking weak, as she believes that her being female is an automatic disadvantage to becoming a strong fighter. Her insecurities cause her to lash out at those around her, most of the time just for being in her line of sight. Although she's only looking to validate herself, she claims to fight for the right of females everywhere to be strong. She's also a bit bigoted, only giving high ranks to her fellow Tosas and believing all other breeds to be beneath her. She holds no sympathy for whoever she hurts or kills, convincing herself that she's seeking justice for the "crimes" they committed. All in all, Akatsuki has gone mad with her obsession to prove that she can be as good as any male, and those around her are doomed to suffer because of it.

History: Akatsubaki was born in Shikoku. As a female, she was deemed not fit to fight and sold off to be a house pet and eventual breeder of new, strong males. In her puppyhood, Akatsubaki was none the wiser of her future. She did know one thing, however: fighting dogs were absolutely amazing. She'd spot the older Tosas fighting and training during her walks, and longed to join them. Once she was about a year old, she escaped her house to try and join in a training fight between two males. Both refused to lay a paw on her, not wanting to hurt a female. Devastated and embarrassed, Akatsubaki was then chased off by the human owners. She realized then that being a female meant that she would be put down and not seen as an equal. However, it didn't stop her from returning to the fighting ring day after day, demanding that she have a chance to fight. It got so common that the humans would lay in wait for her to arrive and attack her with sticks and rocks. Her owners tried to keep her secure, but it only fueled her desperate attempts. Finally, rejected one too many times, something inside of the female snapped, and she not only attacked the humans that tried to chase her away from the ring, but also forced a fight on the male Tosas. Not wanting to hurt her, the males took the beating. One of them even died from his wounds. Akatsubaki was now an enemy of Shikoku, but again, it did little to stop her. The mad female asserted her dominance over the male fighters, forcing them to serve her so that she could feel important. It wasn't enough, however. Akatsubaki needed more males to witness her greatness. She needed to take down more "arrogant" and "sexist" males. She now travels with her pack of Tosa fighters, going from pack to pack, killing their leaders, and forcing the rest of the pack to follow her. She won't rest until she takes down the ultimate male dogs: the leaders of Ohu...
